Katarina, founder
GASPARI began during the first lockdown, in a quiet apartment, with a pile of upcycled yarn and too much time on her hands. Katarina had spent years in finance, but she grew up in a family that always made things by hand. Her grandmother knitted. Her mother sewed. Gaspari is a family name, and it carries the whole idea of the brand: skills passed down through generations, kept alive instead of forgotten.
What started as one woman experimenting with leftover materials slowly became a fashion brand with a point of view. Katarina designs every piece, works alongside the Maestranza, and holds the vision for where GASPARI is going.
Hristina, the newest piece of the puzzle
The first time around, Katarina tried to do it all alone. She ended up burnt out and uninspired. Then Hristina joined. Photographer, marketing mind, and the reason GASPARI now moves faster and looks sharper. Katarina knew she was the right fit the moment she saw her tattoo. That story is coming soon.
Together
The new GASPARI chapter is about doing it together. Two women building something honest in a world of fast and forgettable. Keeping handcraft alive, and celebrating women in the full range of who we are.
The Maestranza
We work with a small team of master craftswomen we call the Maestranza. Each one is a master of her craft. One sews the way they sew in the Parisian haute couture ateliers. One knits gloves so fine we searched for years to find someone who could make them. These women hold decades of knowledge, the kind that was quietly disappearing because almost no one uses it anymore. When you wear GASPARI, you wear their skill, their hours, their hands, their experimntation and patience.
Conscious by design
We don't really say sustainable. The word has been used so much it stopped meaning much. We'd rather just show you how we work.
GASPARI is zero waste. About 80% of materials we use is deadstock, leftover super high quality fabric that would otherwise be thrown out. It finds a new life with us instead. Every offcut, every bit of thread, ends up in something.
For the pieces we make from scratch, we use natural materials like silk and cotton, because it matters how something feels on your skin.
And some pieces have a whole past life. That red skirt with the feathers was a silk scarf found in Mexico. Here it became something new.
Most of the pieces are only made once, are unique. Some are limited edition, so you and your bestie can both have it.
For women dancing to the beat of their own drum
GASPARI is made for the woman, who takes up space, because she stopped waiting for permission a long time ago. She doesn't care if everyone else will show up in black, she will wear red. She didn't come to blend in, she came to feel good in her own skin. Every piece is made for her.
